Public Service Values
I follow the public service values below.
Neutrality- As a non-elected official it is with great responsibility to ensure my personal political beliefs don't interfere with decisions for the village.
Innovation- As a young person new to the field I continously want to find new ways to revolutionize the way a municipality conducts business for residents and it's services.
Humanity- I view the position of village manager not as a boss but as the main care taker of their municipalities residents and employees.
Kernagahn's Categories of Public Service Values
I have inserted Kernaghan's Categories of Public Service Values because it promotes ethical, responsible, and effective public service work. These values emphasize democracy, professionalism, ethical behavior, stewardship, and respect for people and provide a framework for evaluating public service performance. They are crucial for building trust in the government and contributing to the well-being of society.

Code of Ethics
The four tenants below are the leading tenants that stand out to me the most. These tenants are my priorities and stand out to me most as a young public administrator.
Tenant 1: We believe professional management is essential to efficient and democratic local government by elected officials.
Tenant 6: Recognize that elected representatives are accountable to their community for the decisions they make; members are responsible for implementing those decisions.
Tenant 7: Refrain from all political activities which undermine public confidence in professional administrators. Refrain from participation in the election of the members of the employing legislative body.
Tenant 12: Public office is a public trust. A member shall not leverage his or her position for personal gain or benefit.
"The ear of the leader must ring with the voices of the people."
